Sturla Atlas - Identity & Cover Art
When presented with the title for Sturla Atlas' fourth release, 101 Nights, the idea to create a fragrance with the same name came naturally. The cover of the mixtape became an advertisement of a product that was created in a limited amount and presented at DesignMarch in Reykjavík. The concept was taken another step too far by creating marketing materials for the album with cliché advertisements for the fragrance. All Photography by Kjartan Hreinsson, 3D with Gabríel Bachmann.

What constitutes music merchandise today? Sturla Aqua is a conceptual luxury lifestyle product in the form of a refillable glass water bottle made in collaboration with Sturla Atlas. Following the steady decline of album sales, musicians place more emphasis on merchandise, as fans want to own physical items connected to the music. Sturla Aqua is an attempt to create a consumer product that also represents the band's aesthetic and ideals. Photography by Kjartan Hreinsson. 3D with Gabriel Bachmann.
Sturla Atlas - These Days
These Days is the second release from futuristic hiphop/r&b group Sturla Atlas. The album imagery and design reflect both a tendency toward the future and technology, as well as echoes from the past. To coincide with the release, I designed a collection of merchandise with the accompanying graphic elements. Kjartan Hreinsson photographed and co-art directed the photography.
